Zen Tambour Playable Art - The "Tank Drum" idea was invented by Dennis Havlena. He invented this instrument because of his love for the sound, music and idea of the "Hang drum" created by two dedicated artists at PANArt company in Bern, Switzerland.

As an artist, Spike had to build on this idea. He felt that the drum should look as unique as it sounds. He takes new tanks heads and cuts them down to a smaller size as needed. He feels that the size of the drum should fit the scale that the drum is tuned to and also a person should be able to pick not only the scale and sound depth, but also how the drum looks.
